The Challenge

The owners of Mitzis Grand Hotel aim to position Rhodes as a global luxury destination through a 910,000-square-foot resort that blends heritage with contemporary leisure. More than 25 interior zones were developed separately in 2D CAD, creating a significant coordination risk between the architecture, interiors, and structure teams. Our client needed to maintain design excellence while reducing complexity, rework, and schedule pressure.

The Strategy

In collaboration with interior designers WATG and design architects WHO, fivD established an integrated BIM workflow that aligned all disciplines from concept through documentation. Automation and standardized data structures minimized manual rework and improved consistency across zones and packages. The strategy protected the design vision while increasing predictability and speed for the owner and consultants.

The Implementation

fivD workflows reduced manual documentation time by 40%. Frequent coordination checkpoints eliminated discipline conflicts early and kept teams aligned. We translated design concepts into build-ready documentation efficiently, without losing the nuance of the design narrative.

The Outcome

40% faster delivery than comparable hospitality projects. The digital workflow now supports repeatable success across the client’s resort portfolio and reinforces the brand’s five-star promise.
